Keep “You” Beautiful–4 ways

Posted on April 19, 2011. Filed under: Encouragement/Empowerment |

Recently, I came across an article that recognized this month (April) as “Keep America Beautiful” month.  It’s mission reads “engaging individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community environments.”  I immediately started to think about humans.  “Keep (insert your name here) beautiful”.  You are constantly being bombarded daily with litter, waste and clutter.  In order to keep yourselves beautiful you must do the following:

1.  Clean out the clutter and weeds from your lives—clutter pollutes and reduces the ability of the environment to strive.  This includes the removal of people, things, habits etc.

“When you have cleared all of your clutter, you can be of greater service to those around you.”
–Michael B. Kitson

2.  Watch what you hear, see and speak—these are the gates to your mind.  Whatever is allowed to enter,  will grow and multiply.

“Garbage in, garbage out.”–Anonymous

3.  Live life in continuous education mode—you can never learn too much.  Plant, plant, plant to improve your landscape.

“The wisest mind has something yet to learn.”–George Santayana

4.  Embrace mentorship and networking—no man is an island.  Working together produces results.

“Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.”–John C. Crosby

“It’s not what you know but who you know that makes the difference.”–Anonymous

Use this month to refocus you, to “make you beautiful.”
