Today (Sept 17, 2010) beginning at 6PM until tomorrow at 6PM, marks the most solemn Holy Day of the Jewish people. It is referred to as Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement. The culmination of this day began with Rosh Hashanah followed by 10 days of Repentance. Yom Kippur is the reconciliation of God and man. It is a day of fasting, no work and praying for forgiveness of sins. The book of Jonah is read in synagogues.

As we enter into this weekend, let’s observe His Holy Day with prayer, fasting and sacrificial offerings to Him!!!!
